چکیده

Conventional linear and non-linear receivers are generally ineffective in detecting direct-sequence spread spectrum (DS/SS) signals if the spreading sequences are unavailable. An investigation into using correlation-based processing is reported showing that the cyclostationary property of DS/SS provides detection capability. Finally we describe with results an emerging technique based on higher-order statistics where triple correlation analysis is used, leading to the detection and estimation of DS/SS length and its code generating function go.

Online SNR estimation for parallel combinatorial SS systems in Nakagami fading channels

In this paper, an online SNR estimator is proposed for parallel combinatorial SS (PC/SS) systems in Nakagami fading channels. The PC/SS systems are called as partialcode-parallel multicode DS/SS systems, which have the higherspeed data transmission capability comparing with conventional multicode DS/SS systems referred to as all-code-parallel systems. We propose an SNR estimator based on a stat...

Volterra Filter Application in Ds-ss Receiver for Narrowband Interference Suppresion

The direct sequence spread spectrum (DS-SS) transmission system offers a promising solution to an overcrowded frequency spectrum amid growing demand for mobile and personal communication services. The overlay of DS-SS signals on existing narrowband users implies strong interference for DS-SS systems. In this paper, it will be shown how the application of linear and non-linear estimators in the ...

A Semidefinite Relaxation Approach to Spreading Sequence Estimation for DS-SS Signals

In non-cooperative scenarios, the estimation of direct sequence spread spectrum (DS-SS) signals has to be done in a blind manner. In this letter, we consider the spreading sequence estimation problem for DS-SS signals. First, the maximum likelihood estimate (MLE) of spreading sequence is derived, then a semidefinite relaxation (SDR) approach is proposed to cope with the exponential complexity o...

A Novel Multi-user Detection Approach on Fluctuations of Autocorrelation Estimators in Non-Cooperative Communication

Recently, blind multi-user detection has become an important topic in code division multiple access (CDMA) systems. Direct-Sequence Spread Spectrum (DSSS) signals are well-known due to their low probability of detection, and secure communication. In this article, the problem of blind multi-user detection is studied in variable processing gain direct-sequence code division multiple access (VPG D...
